Terms of Use

1. Description of Service

Zilroo is a marketplace that connects customers with skilled professionals (e.g., plumbers, electricians, landscapers) for home and business services in Jamaica. We facilitate requests, quotes, messaging, and hires. We do not employ the professionals on our platform; they are independent service providers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Zilroo. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses from unauthorized access to your account.

Professionals must provide accurate information about their skills, service areas, and availability. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete information when posting job requests
• Respond to quotes and messages in a timely manner
• Keep all communication on the Zilroo platform until a hire is confirmed
• Pay professionals as agreed for completed work
• Leave honest reviews after job completion
• Treat professionals with respect and in accordance with applicable law

5. Professional Responsibilities

• Provide accurate quotes and deliver work as described
• Communicate professionally and respond in a timely manner
• Comply with all applicable laws, licenses, and permits
• Maintain appropriate insurance where required
• Keep customer information confidential and use it only for the job
• Not solicit customers to conduct transactions outside Zilroo to avoid fees

6. Payments and Fees

During our current phase (MVP), payments are arranged directly between customers and professionals. Zilroo does not process payments. Both parties are responsible for agreeing on payment terms, method, and timing.

We may introduce platform fees, subscriptions, or payment processing in the future. Any such changes will be communicated in advance.

7. Disputes

Disputes between customers and professionals are primarily between those parties. We may provide support to help resolve issues but are not responsible for the quality of work, payment disputes, or other matters arising from the job. You may contact us at support@zilroo.com to report safety concerns or platform violations.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use the platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Circumvent platform features to avoid fees or restrictions
• Scrape, copy, or misuse platform content or data
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform

9. Intellectual Property

Zilroo and its branding, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or content without prior written permission. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to use it to operate the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zilroo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or any transactions with professionals.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zilroo, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., indemnification, limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Your continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.

15. General

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Zilroo. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
