Nondiscrimination Policy

Zilroo connects customers and skilled professionals across Jamaica. Everyone using our platform deserves to be treated with respect and without discrimination. This policy explains our commitment and what we expect from you. It supplements our Terms of Use.

1. Our commitment

We believe discrimination has no place on Zilroo. Customers and professionals must not discriminate against others based on race, colour, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.

2. What this means in practice

  • Customers must not harass professionals, refuse service from a qualified pro based on protected characteristics, or use discriminatory language in requests, messages, or reviews.
  • Professionals must not refuse to quote or perform work based on a customer's protected characteristics. Pros may decline jobs for legitimate business reasons — for example, the job is outside their skills, location, or availability, or they have safety concerns unrelated to discrimination.
  • Reviews must reflect the job experience and must not contain discriminatory, threatening, or hateful content.

3. Reasonable accommodations

Where reasonable and lawful, customers and professionals should cooperate on accommodations related to disability or other needs. If you are unsure how to handle a request, contact support so we can help facilitate a respectful solution.

4. Reporting discrimination

If you experience or witness discrimination on Zilroo, report it promptly:

  • Use the Contact form and choose Report discrimination
  • Or email support@zilroo.com with subject line Discrimination report

Include relevant details (dates, messages, job or request ID if available). We review reports seriously and may suspend or remove accounts that violate this policy.

5. Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, removal of content, loss of Verified Pro status, or permanent account suspension. We may also cooperate with law enforcement where required. Our decisions are made in good faith to protect the community; repeated or severe violations receive stronger action.
